Circumstances
On June 17th, 2000 the nephew of Gerald Bingham reported him as missing. He was last seen by neighbors on June 8th, 2000. Neighbors had seen him leave his residence around 2 AM that day. Bingham had previously told the neighbors that he would be going to Talihina, OK. Bingham left in his 1998 maroon Buick Regal. That vehicle was later located on Cavanal Mountain near Poteau, OK. A witness told authorities that he had given Bingham a ride to a nearby community but had taken him back to Cavanal Mountain and dropped him off. Bingham suffers from diabetes.
